A SUICIDE
.(Per Press Association.) Hokitika, Monday. C- H. Romanes, Civil engineer, who arrived from Reeiton yesterday, was seen last evening by three persons to divert himself of his coat and walk deliberately into the see, a few mi!e3 north of the fowo. The body was found on the bcaoh this morning. Considerable correspondence was found in his pocket boak, but there is no o’ue as to the reason of bis act. An inquest will be held to morrow.
