Oliva Renull, aged 19, a teacher, daughter of the Mayor of Masterton, died suddenly on Christmas evening, Alexander McLean, aged 28, aoarpenter, was thrown from his horse on Saturday night and killed. John Saywell, aged 31, was drowned on Christmas afternoon while bathing. Auckland, Sunday. John Carson was very seriously injured through being knocked down by a tram oar on Saturday night.
