The poll in connection with a proposal to borrow £4OOO to assist in the building of a town hall and municipal offices was oarried to-day by a majority of 259. The polling was 403 for the proposal, and 144 against.

By 360 votes to 47 the ratepayets o: Miramar to-day agreed to raise a loan ol i’23,000 for tramway construction.
