(Per Press Agflociation.) Christchurch, last night. Mr P. Burke, President of tho Licensed Victuallers’ Association of New Zealand, interviewed, said that the trade quite recognised its responsibility, and intended lo show that the confidence which moderate electois had reposed in it would’* not bo misplaced. The trade intended to carry out the system of regulation whiob had been in fotco for a considerable time, l and intended to deal severely with any hote’kceper who broke tho law.
