ROTORUA TRAGEDY.
THE SHOOTING OF HISLOP.
(Per, Press Association.) Rotorua, last night. The inquest into the oause of the death of Robert Hislop, shot by Andrew Campbell on the 26th Ootober, was oonoluded to-day. Eight witnesses were examined.
The evidence went to show that illfeeling existed between Campbell and Hislop, oaused by the latter’s threatening language and aotions. The jury returned a unanimous verdict that Robert Hislop mot his death by a gunshot wound inflicted by Andrew Campbell.
At the Police Court to-day Campbell was charged with the murder of Hislop, and was remanded to Monday, when the Stipendiary Magistrate will hear the oase.
