HARVESTER TRUST

(Per Press Association.) Marlon, last night.

At a meeting of the Marion branch of the Farmers’ Union, W. J. Birch, as a member of the Union's colonial advisory oommittee, states that the committee had informed the implement makers of Christchurch that it supported the view of the North Canterbury exoutive. This was to the effect that the executive was against any increase in ' the tariff, but would recommend farmers to support locally-made implements.
