STOLEN GOODS.
.(Per. Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. A sequel to the police scandal came before the Supreme Court to-day, when Justioe Williams was oallod upon to hear an interpleader Bommons in the form of ah application by Deteotive Herbert that claimants for goods, which were taken from the houses of Constables McDonald Mosgb and Quill, should appear and state particulars of their claims. After hearing evidence, Hie Honor made an order that certain articles elaimed by Moses and McDonald belonged to the D.I.C. He made an order that Detective Herbert receives four guipeaslooeta and disbursements charged from artioles; that Quill ieoeiva a guinea costs as ‘against the D.1.C., and that the D.I.C. were entitled to two guineas costs as against MoDonald and Moses separately, and againet them also they were entitled to ooßti for any amount paid to the detectives’ oosts.
