(Per Press association.) Dunedin, last night. The body of John Drummond Dow, who was drowned with his brother in the lower harbor on Auga9t 8, was found on the beaoh outside the Heade. As an inquest was held on the body of the brother none is deemed neoessary on the . present occasion.
At the meeting ofteachers a resolution was carried that the meeting, tvhilo regretting the Parliamentary committee could not see its way to make better provision for male teachors now at or about tho retiring age, congratulated tho Premier on the improvements made in the Teachers’ Superannuation Bill, particularly as regards the lowering of the optional age of retriement for women, and recognition , of baok services ; and further, that tbo meeting urges Otago members to support the Premier in bis efforts to pass a satisfactory Bill during the prosont session.
