SETTLEMENT-OF LIBEL ACTIONS (Per Press Astsociation.) Christchurch, last night. The libel case T. E. Taylor, M.H.R., of Ohristohuroh. against J, M. Twomey, of Ternuka, in respect to an artiole appearing in tho Ternuka Leader, a reflection on members of the New Liberal party, wbb settled on terms, defendant paying £SO damages and plaintiff’s solicitor’s costs, and publishing an apology in the Timara Herald.

Mr F. M. B. Fisher’s action against Mr Twomey, in respect to the same artiole, was also settled, on condition that defendant pays costs and publishes an apology.
