Sydney, September 16. Of 103 aeoeptorß for the Goulborn to Sydney road race, 87 started, iaoluding 12 New Zerlanders. Tbe weather was fine. The roeds were good. The arrangements for refreshments for the competitors were excellent. Large orowds watohed the pro* cress of the racs at various stages. Robinson, of Oooma, was the winner with 65 minutes’ start. He covered the journey of 131 miles in 6 hours 41 minutes actual riding time. He got in from between Mossyale and Picton, and held the lead to the finish. , Orr, of Sydney, was second with BU minutes’ start. Ho took 7 hours. Hagney, of Bydney, was third with 35 , minutes’ start. - k The soratch men were never dangerous* J the long markers having the race in hand before the final stages wera reached. J. Armt, who finished 16th, made ths fastest time, 6 hours 85£ minutes, lowering the reoord for the journey by 81 minutss. None of the other New Zealanders were prominent at the finish.,
