The New Zealand footballers played their firßt, match of tho tour against Devon yesterday and ; won by eight goals, four trie?, one ponalty goal (65 points) to one dropped goal (4). Six thousand people were present. The New Zealanders met with an enthusiastic reception. Smith secured four tries, Wallace three. Hunter two, Nicholson, Glasgow and and Stead one each. Wallace placed all the goals.
