Mr Stead takes £8570, and Mr H. Good, the owner of Maniapoto, £2222, Mr Stead’s horses leave by the Mooraki next Saturday. The owner will probably acoompany them.

The oheering commenced when passing the distance, swelling into a continuous shout as she swept past tho post, and was renewed when she returned to tho weighing stand, many thousands joining in a scene of much enthusiasm, lasting several minutes. It was reminiscent of the welcome accorded to a Melbourne Cup winner.
