TARANAKI EASILY BEATS HAWKE’S BAY. (Per. Press Association.) Hawera, last night. The representative game yesterday was rather one sided. Payne, of Hawke s Bay, wua badly kicked on the face.and had to retire after the first few minutes’ play. McCarthy kicked a goal from a mark. This was the visitors’ only score,and thereafter they were bard pressed throughout. Guy, Rothery, Thomas Burke (2), and Hardgreaves soored tries for Taranaki, of whioh Coleman converted two. Coleman also kicked'a goal o2 a mark. The game nded Taranaki 26, Hawke’s Bay 4.
