CHEAPER MONEY.
WELLINGTON COUNOIL BORROWS UNDER FOUR PER CENT. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Wellington City Counoil has succeeded iu negotiating looally on most satis* factory terms for the flotation of the new, loan of £235,000. . It had been originally intended to float the loan at 4$- per cent.', but it was decided subsequently to raise it at 4 per oent, and ultimately the Council reoeived an offer of 4198 nett for the whole loan. This offer has been aooepted. There was no expense beyond a few guineas to the Council.
