Inspector Ouu'on gave evidence before the Police Commission to-day, replying to the allegation* of gnb-lospector Black. He deposed that soon «f*or Black oame to Auckland he had lo complain of him refusing to deal with correspondance while ■witness was away; also-, because be ■neglected to see that the constables’ reports and briefs were properly prepared, forwarding them with merely a formal endorsement, leaving wieners to give directions. ' He stated that Slack was responsible for tbe unpleasant eolations between them. Ho recognised, however, that in the interests of. tbe foroe cither he or Blaok should be removed.
