(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. The Arbitration Court waa engaged at Milton to-day hearing the dispute of the Agricultural -Laborers’ Union and lime kijn owners of Osago and Souibland. The men asjje.fi for 48 . hours, with a halfholiday on Saturday, and wages ranging from 8s to 10s per day. Tho employers contended that there was lit’le or no profit on lime burning, and if tho wages increased most of the mines would have to be elOßod. If tho price of lima inoreased Government would net carry it free on tho railways, as it was provided that the price must not exeeed 13s per ton. Further evidence will b at Invercargill and Oaraaru'. k-j At a meeting of civil servants a resolution was carried that the meeting is of opinion that a superannuation scheme for civil servants generally should be brought down hy the Government this session, and that a petition should'be forwarded to Parliament urging, supnort or Bueh a scheme. A committee ot representatives from each department was appointed to-co-opernto with the post and telegraph department to give effect to tho resolution.
