MYSTERIOUS FIRE.

(Per Press Association.) Foilding, last night.

Aftor occupying three days, the inquest on tbo death of Nellie Cartayne, who perished in the recent fire at Hastie’s Hotel, was concluded this evening. It appears when the alarm vyas given deceased apparently made her way to the front of the hotel and got lost in the smoke. The evidence regarding the locality of the fire when discovered was conflicting. The jury retired and in ten minutes brought the following verdict “That the remains produced in Court wore those pf Nellie Curtayne,who perished in the fire wbioh destroyed Hastie’s Hotel on the 18th inst. That the fire started in the bar parlor next tho gas motor undor suspicious circumstancoß. There was not sufficient vidence to prove bow tba fire oiisiuatefi."
