THE WAIKATO CASE.
VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY. "(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The fourth trial of Herbert Pearson, livery stable employee, for criminal assault upon a married woman named L. A. Beuth, at Cambridge, in October last, was concluded at tho Supreme Court today, before the Cbictf Justice (Sir Robert Stout). Aftor bearing tho addresses of Counsel the Chief Justice summed up, and the jury retired at 4.45 p.m. They returned at 8.50 p.m. with a verdict of not guilty.
