A MYSTERY.

'(Per Press Association.) Invercargill, last night. On the 9th April. 1902, Frederick Sheath left tho township of Otautau to sbqot in, the Longwood bush. He never returned and although search was made no trace of him was found. Yesterday the Bkeleton of a man with a rusty gun beßide it was found about a mile from the township. The remains are those of Sheath. There are no signs of gunshot injury on the anatomy. Sheath came from Tapanui to manage the Kingway estate, and leaving there came to Otautau to reside. He was a man about 30 ; ho Had been operated on for abscess, and was in delicate health*
