Wellington, last night. r A deputation from tha Fire Brigades’ ■ Association waited on Mr Carroll this { morning and urged the passing of the Fire Brigades’ Bill of la3t session. The Minister said he would take early opportunity to bring the Bill before the House. The country, he said, could not ignore repeated efforts of the Brigades to place themselves on a better financial basis.
