STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.

Per Press Association. Nelson, last night. Daring a sharp thunderstorm last night a boy named Douglas Morrison, Bon of Mr Morrison, of Glenn Duan, Wakapuaka, was standing at a ditch opposite his parents’ residence when he was struck by lightning and thrown into, the ditch in a dazed condition, and when recovered was found temporarily blinded. It was then found that his eyebrows has been singed off. It is thought no farther ill effects will happen. Heavy rain fell all night, and it is raining at intervals.
