ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
.'(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. John Thomas Meek, aged 34, a carter, omployed by Grey and Monzies, fell while getting into a cart through the horse suddenly starting. Tho wheels passed over his body, inflicting injuries from which he died. An oyster picker named Domecio Rug-P*" gioro, who left Matakino, North of Auek- - land, in a small boat on Satnrday, is believed to have been drowned, the boat and oare having been washed ashore. Nelson, last night. Mr E. Finney, of Bond, Finney and Oo. r proprietors of tbs Nelson Colonist, died this morning, after a short and sadden illness . He was a prominent friendly society member for many years, identified with the Nelson Building Society, and till this year a member of the Harbor Board sinoit its inception. He was aged 56, and was a brother-in-law of Mr John Graham, member for the city.
