MR TAYLOR, M.H.R.
ADDRESSES HIS CONSTITUENTS '(Per Press Association.) ’ Christchurch, last night. Mr T. E. Taylor, M.H.R., addressed a crowded audience of his constituents at the Choral Hall to-night, and was accorded an enthusiastic reception. Speaking of the Shops and Offices Act, he said he considered Mr Massey was as much to blame for the way the Bill went through as any other member of the House. He had no hesitation in saying that the High Commissioner Act was passed to provide for the graceful retirement of the Premier. He did not think the Public Revenues Act should be repealed though it required amendment. He did not believe in the bicameral system, and failing the abolition of the higher House he would like to see it eleoted by the House of Representatives. Speaking of the Land Commission, he did not think tho report would influence .a single vote of members. He dealt with several other questions.
