EGG-LAYING.

[(Per Press Association.) Blenheim, last night. In the seventh week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition 819 eggs were laid, as agaiDst 735 for the previous week. This brings the average per pen up to 8 1-5 eggs. Tho number of non-contributing pens has been reduced from 18 to 15. Tbe number of eggs laid to date is 3236, and the total for the last calendar month is 1405. The leading pen is H. Leger’s white Leghorns, from Levin, with 23 for the seventh week and an aggregate of 168. F. Brooks’ whito Leghorns, from South Australia, arc second with 27 and 159 respectively, and H. Weber’s silver Wyaadottes, from Westport, third with 13 and 122.
