HON. HALL-JONES AT WHANGAEEI

'(Pen Press Association.') Whangarei, last night. The Hon. Hall Jones and wife and Mr Alfred Kidd, M.H.R., arrived at WhaDgarei from the north. They were m6t at the station by the Mayor, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and other public men. At the town a deputation interviewed the Minister regarding the early completion of the Hukerunui railway gap to Kawakawa, and also requested road grants. The party purpose visiting the Limestone Island cement works to-mor-row, also the hospital and the famous black bridge in the Maumu district. The Minister received deputations this afternoon, and attended the Mayor and County Chairman’s social in the evening, The weather is fine, but cold.
