At itho Magistrate’s Court yesterday Alfred Nelson, with a large number of aliases, was committed for trial to the Supreme'. Court on five informations charging him with issuing valueless cheques. Accused, by purchasing land at £BO per acre, succeeded in creating the impression that there was a boom in Peninsula lands. A number of his chequos were issued to Akl>roa hotelkeepers, and one for a horse, for which ho paid £2B and afterwards sold for £f.9 10b,
