XPcra Press Association. 1 )' Christchurch, last night. | A satisfactory trial trip of onq of the 8 imported electric cars was made yesterday. | The chairman and members of the TramI way Board had several trips on tho ear | between the car ehed and the railway station. It is anticipated that the official opening run on the Papanui line will be made at the end of the present month, by which time the wiring will be completed. Thirteen cars are fnlly eqnipped and ready to go on the road, and nine more will be ready within three or four days.
