Two appeal cases instituted by the Licensed Victuallers’ Association, of considerable importance to hotelkeepers, were argued before Mr Justice Cooper today. The first brought up the question of the existence or otherwise of a 11 bona fide traveller,” the decision of tho Stipendiary Magistrate in fining a Sumner publican for supplying liquor to a Christchuroh resident on a Sunday being appealed against. In the other oase the question of the legality of cards being played in hotels, the loser paying for drinks for the others, was argued. In both oases his Honor took I time to consider his decision. I
