Per Press 'Association. „ Christchuroh, last night. Margaret Ellen Mackie, twenty months v > old, died at the hospital to-day a 3 the resuit o£ eating match heads. On Monday 2- .-afternoon the ehild had eaten the heads ; % £f one or'two matches and yesterday she had consumed another match t * head;-but no ill-effects resulted. Yesterday jfj!? morning the child’s father discovered on fr. floor of one of the rooms of the house of matches with tbeir heads shewed off.
