PERSONAL.
Tho Revs. Comrie, Asher, and Bybum rotum South to-day. Captain and Mrs Slattery returned from Wellington on Saturday morning. Sergeant-Major Tuok arrived from the South on Saturday. Mr Justice Edwards returned to Auckland on Saturday. Mr E. C. Gold-Smith, Commissioner of Crown Lands, went South by the Haupiri on Saturday night. Mr O. Harman, of the railway clerioal staff, has been transferred to Wellington, and goes South on Wednesday. Dr Findlay went South on Saturday. Mr 0. P. Lindegreen, representing the International Correspondence Sohools of Soranton, U.S.A., is at present in Gisborne. Mr H. D. Bedford, M.H.8., arrives on a visit to Gisborne next Wednesday. The following young men loave for Wellington this morning to join the s.s. Turakina for London :—Benata Topara, Mane Kepa, Bewiti Pltau, Taba Tutapu, Erekana Pewhairanga, J. Brooking, jun„ Paikea Teteira, Thaia Kahuri, Paratene Te Hau, and Wirernu Kingi Waihopu. They will be absent from the colony about 12 months.
