The average price to day for I Canterbury mutton is 4£d per lb, and for I other North Island mutton 4d per lb. The I lamb market is weak ; there is dull sale I for all lamb, the weather for whioh has I become very unfavorable. There is an inI clination to force the sale of lamb. The average to-day for New Zealand lamb, Canterbury brand, is s£d per lb, and for New Zealand brands other than Canterbury s£d. There is a better demand for beef. The average'price to day for hind quarters of New Zealand beef is 3£d per lb, fores 2 5-Bd. The butter dull, owing to the home supply increasing. The first arrival of Siberian butter to band this week totals 19,179 ewt. Tho average price of choicest New Zealand butter to-day is 95s per cwt, Danish 101 s. The choose markot is steady. The average price for finest New Zealand cheese is 50a per cwt.
