CONTINGENT REUNION.

(Pec Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. The second reunion of the third rough riders contingent was held la3t night, and was attended by about 50 members of the contingent, also His Excellency the Governor and members of the Canterbury war fund committee. The Governor’s health was proposed by Mr Geo. G. Stead, who entertained the contingent at dinner. His Excollenoy, in responding, said that it was a great honor and privilege, besides being a duty, to bo present. It was a duty because as representative of His Majesty it was clearly his duty to take any opportunity of expressing the appreciation of those at Home to those from overseas who helped the empire when that help was really valuable. Mr W. Reece, who was chairman of the war fund committee* proposed the roll of honored dead, which was responded to by Colonel Jowsey, who commanded the contingent.
