HEAVY STORMS.
(Per Press Association.) Napier, Tuesday. A rainstorm, which set in last evening, developed during the course of the night f f '' into the fiercest gale experienced here for somo years, The rivers aro in flood, but no damage is reported.
Wairoa, Tuesday. A heavy south westerly gale has been raging since midnight, accompanied by heavy rain. There is no sign of the weather clearing.
Later.—The river mouth was blocked it. early yesterday morning. During the day a vast flood of water camo from the back oonntry. The river rose within a few feet of the decking of the bridge, and burst oat last night. It is expected the entrance will < "v allow tho steamer to come to tbo wharf. i She has not been inside tbe river einoa Novomber. The weather has cleared.
