(Per Presa Association.) Dunedin, last night. Tho Rev. J. W. Barton, Methodist mis

sionary at Fiji, at presont on a visit to Dunedin, states that a very handsome gift bas just been made for missionary work. Tho gilt is a three-masted schooner, rigged as a yacht, of 108 tons tonnage, A 1 at Lloyd’s, 100 ft long, beam 22ft, fitted with a large saloon, 81 berths, bathrooms, and a splendid cook’s galley. It has been given anonymously by a Christian gentleman in Christchurch for the use of the Methodist Missionary Society’s work in the South Sea Islands. The original cost of the yacht was £II,OOO.
