WELCOME TO NEW ZEALAND. '(Pec Press Association.') Invercargill, last night. General Booth, founder and head of the Salvation Army, arrived at the Bluff this morning from Melbourne, and was received at Invercargill by officers of the Army and about 200 citizens. Mr Scandrett, the Mayor, extended a hearty welcome to the General. To-morrow afternoon the General wili address a meeting in First Church, and in the evening will lecture on 11 The Past, Present, and Future of the Salvation Army.” Notwithstanding that he has oome off a long voyage, and his advanced years, the General appeared in good health, and seems quite equal to the programme of meetings which he has arranged to address in the principal cities of the colony.
