SCOW URUROA.

Whangaroa, Saturday. The three-masted scow Ururoa (Capt. Sharp), of 196 tons, which left Tairua on April 9, bound for Sydney, with 220,000 ft. of sawn kauri timber, put in to Whangaroa yesterday in a leaking condition. The captain reported that the scow grounded on leaving Tairua, and that the subsequent leaking of the vessel made it necessary to pnt into Whangaroa. If possible, the scow will bring her cargo back to Auckland, where it will be transferred to the Pencils Hill. The Ururoa is owned by Mr Lane, of Totara North, and is under charter to the Kauri Timber Company. Auokland, Saturday. A telegram has been received stating that it would be too dangerous to bring the scow to Auckland loaded, and consequently she will discharge at Whangaroa and refit.
