j (Per Press Association.) I Napier, last night. | The fourth annual autumn show of the I Hawke’a Bay A. and P. Society waa held I to-day at Hastings. The day was beautiI fully tine, and the attendance was a record I for an autumn show here. The exhibits I were rather fewer than last year, but this ! was almost wholly in the implement and I and horticultural sections, other depart- j ments showing an increase. The butter, grain, fruit, vegetable, and root crops made a good display, and the show was I well up to the standard of former years. The principal competitions resulted as I follows : —Single-handed sawing : J. Phillips, lOsoc, 1; time, 45sec. Double sawing handicap : Blane and Deegan (3seo) 1, Casey and Pretty (scratch) 2 ; time, 16 3 5 eeo- Standing block chop : G. Blaue (scratch) 1, J. E, Bunt (4Qseo) 2; time, 2.46.
