QUEEN VICTORIA STATUE,

[ Per Press Association, j .Dunedin, last night. At a meeting of the Queen Victoria Statue Committee it was reported that the statue and two bronze figures were on board the .Delphic, and that Customs duty of £550 was chargeable thereon. It was resolved to wire to the Minister for Customs asking him to authorise the delivery of the statue duty free, and ask the Premier if anniversary day, March 23rd, would suit his Excellency and the Premier to be present at the unveiling.
