(Pet Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The following is tho result in detail of the E flat (soprano) cornet solos competition : —W. Sneddon, Wellington Garrison, 114 marks, 1; T. Russell, Wanganui Garrison, 110, 2 ; B. Simpson, Mastorton Municipal, 109,0 3. Also competed: W. Nichole, Hastings, 104; S. R. Hunter (Auckland Garrison) and J. McAra (Kaikorai), 101; F. Wilkinßon, Gisborne City, 100.

The saoond test selection resulted as follows:—WaDganui Garrison, 197 marks, 1; Kaikorai, 172 marks, 2 ; Wellington Garrison, 165 marks, 3. Also competed : Waihi Federal T 62, Ist Battalion Auckland 159, Auckland Garrison, Ruahine Battalion, and Gisborne City 146, Hauraki 144, Taranaki Garrison 133, Devonport 125. '

The actual championship depends upon the musical points gained in to-morrow’s marching contest, which will be added to the test aggregate, the winner taking the Besson ohalienge shield, valued at £SO. The following table show the points scored by each band in the two tests, the maximum being 200, and the aggregate in each case :
