Whitaker, ■ I Now Plymouth, district chief ruler, preI sided. Tho report showed that the disI trict comprised SO male and 4 female I tents, with a membership of 1651, an inI crease of 100 since the last meeting. One I new tent had been opened at Petone, and I I £2OO had been paid in funeral money dur- I I ing the year. The total funds were 1,7255 I I Os 2d, funeral L 206 16s, pay guarantee I I fund 8211 18s 7d, benevolent fund 1,91 2s | I sd. The juvenile fund total, L 9224, with I the tent fund’s total was 1,33,894 7s 4d, an I I increase of 82844 6s 9d since the last report. The juvenile report showed the present membership to be 352, transferred 42, fund 8291 4s 3d. The report of 1 the | district visitors on tho various tents was adopted. Committees were appointed to j revise female and juvenile laws : also to form a basis of union between the central * and New Zealand districts. Other routine business was dealt with, and the Council ? adjourned till Thursday morning. 1
