GISBOBNE BOWING CLUB.

I The first heat for the Schumacher Cup I resulted in a win for Bayly over Hamilton Iby half a length. Both crews got a very I even start, and towards the footbridge I Bayly held the advantage. Hamilton shortly afterwards moved forward, and the two crews pulled together till nearing the | winning post, when Hamilton again spurted. Bayly managed to hold his advantage, and was adjudged the winner by half a length. Mr K. Bobinson was judge and tho members were very pleased to see Dr Schumacher take a keen interest in the I event. This evening Donkin rows John- I ston, and popular opinion favours the veteran. Bodie meets Williams, and a | good race should result,
