A WOMAN’S DEATH.

(Pet Press Association.) Thames, last night. Nellie Johnson, aged twenty-seven, was drowned in the Kauaeranga river this afternoon. Some boys saw the body in the water and endeavoured to rescue her, but failed. When assistance was available life was extinct. Deceased had been in ill health for some time, and was left in bed at the house. She dressed and walked to tho river. There is no information as to whether it is a case of suicido or accidental death.
