CONDEMNED STOCK.

A FIXED LIMIT,

(Per Press 'Association. J Dunedin, last night. The Dairymen’s Association met several members of Parliament to-day to bring undo!' their notice resolutions passed at a recent meeting, ana secured their cooperation to fix a limit price for diseased cattle destroyed at £l2 ; the increase in the age limit to be ten years; and that all benefits derived from condemned cattle should go to the owner ; also, that owners should be notified of tho visit of the veterinary surgeon to examine animals. After a general discussion the members expressed the opinion that the dairymen had made out a good caso and were entitled to their support. Mr E. G. Allen, however, thought it would be futile to ask the Minister for an increased, price for condemned stock, while others thought as the price had gone up so should the compensation.
