At the Homebush sales sheep were in short supply, being almost all merinos. Prices showed a decided improvement. A dozen crossbred wethers sold at 19s 6d, five owes 15s 6d. For cattle thero was an over-supply, prices being easier. Best bullocks brought £lO 10s, extra *ll sb, good £9 10s; best cows £7 10s, extra T 9 ss, good £7 ; best beef 24s 6d. Tbe wool sales opened firm a! last week’s closing levels. Competition was brisk and well distributed.
