WANGANUI SHOW.
Per Press Association. Wanganui, last night. Tho Wanganui Agricultural Association’s Annual Show commenced to-day in fine weather. There was a largo attendance. The entries constitute a record, totalling in all 2503. In sheep tho number is less than last year, but the quality is much improved. Lincolns particularly were a fine class. Cattle also aro hardly up to last year’s numbers, but taken altogether the quality is satisfactory. In pigß E. White and John Jarvis wore tho chief exhibitors. Horses were a fine class, both numerically and in quality. Dogs are also a fine class. Homo industries aro a feature of tho Show. Tho Maori exhibit was greatly admired. It contained many beautifully specimens which boar tho additional merit of extreme age. The following are tho championships : Polled Angus bull, J. T. Campbell’s entry ; Polled Angus cow, Mr S. Slack’s entry ; Ayrshire bull and cow, Mrs Slack’s entries ; Jersey aud Alderney bull, Mrs Donald’s entry ; Jersey and Aldornoy cow, Miss Imlay's entry ; champion thoroughbred, Phrcton; champion Lincoln ram, W. H. Wybourno's entry ; champion Lincoln ewe, Mr W. H. Wybourno’s entry.
