BIG DRIVES OF KAURI LOGS.
(Per Press Association J THAMES, last night. As the result of recent rains, there were Hoods, and several .successful drives of kauri logs. In one case, tw r o thousand five hundred, and in another over two thousand; were liberal ed. The scene is described as awe-inspiring as the monstrous logs were brought down in the seething mass of water. COUNTY CHAIRMAN,
