WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT.

Per Press Association. Wellington, last night. At the Supremo Court Thomas Chasland, a half casto Maori, was found guilty of assault and causing bodily harm to Jamos Wirk, aged 70, at Martiuborougb. Ho was remanded for sentence. John Mofiitb, for stealing from the person, was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment, and on a charge of escaping from tho Terrace Gaol while in custody awaiting trial, was given six mouths.
