A meeting of the Now Zealand Rugby Union's Management Committee was held last night. The Manawatu Referees’ Association asked the New Zealand Rugby Union to inquire into the action of tho Wauganui Rugby Union in exonerating two of its playors who woro ordered off the field by the-referee in tbo recout match between Manawatu and Wanganui. Tho committee decided to ask the Wangauui Union to forward the evidence on which its decision to oxunorato was arrived at. The South Canterbury Union asked if its players might play iu the Canterbury representative team as well as in South Canterbury team. The committee endorsed its secretary’s action iu having illformed South Canterbury that tho New Zealand Rugby Union had no power undor its rules to prevent such a practice. It was also decided that South Canterbury be informed that the Management Committee would tako the power in its new by-laws to make, such action impossible. A loner was received from A. G. Cameron, of San Francisco, suggesting abat a Now Zealand team play in America on its way to England. The committee regretted that there was no prospect of the request being acceeded to.
