'FRISCO MAIL.

(To the Editor of the Times).;

Sir, —I see by the papers that tho San Fraucisco mail service is ratified. Now, why should not tho Union Steam Ship Company help us people south of Auckland ? By yesterday’s paper wo see that the Union Steam Ship Company’s boat is a day late leaving ' Auckland, Now why could they not have a boat leaving on receipt of tho San Francisco mail, which arrives in Auckland almost invariably on Mondays. It is only once in three weeks, so surely they could give us south of Auckland the benefit of the quick service by putting on an extra boat. Hoping that you will see your way dear to publish this.—l am, &c., E.T.H.
