METROPOLITAN SHOW.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. The Canterbury A. and P. Association’s Metropolitan Show opened to-day, and was favoured with fine weather. As usual the first day was devoted to judging machinery and implements of Now Zealand manufacture. Owing to tho very largo entries in the machinery and implement classes, it is anticipated that the judging results will not be available till late. The grounds are in excellent order, and there is every indication that the Show will bo the most successful ever held under the auspices of the Association. The exhibits include a large number of novel and useful inventions.
